InfluenceMap's success depends on mutually beneficial relationships with our partners and stakeholders who rely on our content. As Communications Officer, your role will be to ensure we are maximizing the potential reach of our research, with a particular focus on North American-based media and NGO partners. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with key news outlets, as well as communication leads in various partner organizations for InfluenceMap. You will also contribute to the evolution of our branding and messaging and will work with our developer, designer, and operations team to ensure InfluenceMap implements this messaging effectively. You will play a major role in expanding and managing InfluenceMap's global events programs with a focus on online seminars and webinars. We place great importance on written communication and you should be prepared to support the team in the creation of reports, proposals and other content to meet our exacting standards of both style and presentation. While your focus will primarily be on North America, you will also be required to assist with media outreach and stakeholder engagement in other parts of the world.
You will report to the Communications Manager at InfluenceMap and work closely with program leads of our key workstreams. You will be empowered to be assertive and use your initiative in this role.
