Opposing carbon tax

InfluenceMap Comment:

Advocating that carbon tax would lead to increased gasoline prices and energy bills, and cause job losses (Karen Harbert, President and chief executive officer, Institute for 21st Century Energy, US Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Senate Committee, hearing on energy tax policy, June 14, 2016)

Extract from Source:

Efforts to raise taxes on energy production foreshadow a less secure energy future. History has demonstrated that arbitrary tax increases that raise the costs of doing business in this country are counterproductive, forcing increased oil imports, significant job losses, and more expensive energy bills.
