We maintain a database of over 10,000 pieces of cataloged and assessed evidence relating to corporate engagement with climate change regulations on a global scale. We would be happy to assist you in any aspect of research and analysis of this and related topics. We can also score companies and organizations not yet on our system that you might be interested in. We can slice and dice our data to provide sub-scores and analysis by company by data source (e.g. SEC filings, CEO messaging) and by climate change issue (e.g. EU ETS, agreement with IPCC). Please contact us for details.
Our information is open source but we request you credit us in full for any references or use of our knowledge base (as we reference our own evidence in full). Please be aware our information is updated in real time so interaction with us is best if you are using our data on a formal basis.
We strive to gather as complete a picture as possible on corporate influence, but given limited resources and often difficult to obtain information, we welcome suggestions and contributions to our database. However, please note that we can only publish information backed up by credible documentation.
Please contact us if you would like to know more about how your corporation or corporations you are interested in have been assessed, or if you would like your organization to be put through out system. Please also point us towards any evidence we may have missed. We can only consider publicly available documents in updating our scores.
We initiated this project at the request of a number of campaign and engagement groups. If you are assisting in the transformation to a low-carbon future and want to address the issue of corporate capture of the policy process, please get in touch and we can help you access the necessary parts of our platform and draft any collaborative statements.
We strive to be as objective as possible and use legitimate, publicly available data. Should you think we have misrepresented or missed information on any particular organization or issue, please contact us and we will respond immediately. See our Terms and Conditions for further details.
Our platform is primarily about collation, analysis and presentation of subjective data in a meaningful way. We could extend our methodology in any number of ways, such as through:
- Applying it to another area of public policy or legislation - e.g. forestry, offshore corporate tax regulations, nutrition labelling, etc.
- Applying or extending it to another set of companies for a particular climate change related regulation
- Running our methodology over your chosen set of data sources and queries - we believe our matrix-based software is applicable to a range of assessment and risk analysis situations where an element of human judgement is essential.
