ALEC appear to be actively opposing almost all strands of climate change policy and regulations. They do not seem to support action on climate change in general. They appear to be supporting climate denial through their own statements on their website and by providing others with platforms for disseminating denial. By creating 'model policy' available on their website to be used by legislators they appear to be actively opposing carbon tax, emissions trading, energy efficiency standards, renewable energy legislation, transition of the energy mix and GHG emissions standards in the US. ALEC also appear to have been opposing the EPA Clean Power Plan, publicly and in consultation, and state renewable energy standards in 2014 and 2015.
